School Site Council

School Site Council Elections

We currently have three openings for parent/guardian representatives on Valley View’s School Site Council (SSC).

The SSC is a vital decision-making group that helps examine school data, recommend school improvement plans, and support the development of our budget in alignment with Education Code and federal guidelines. Every school in the Westside Union School District is required to have an SSC, and we strive to ensure equal representation of parents and staff to best support the needs of our students.
This is a two-year term, and training is provided.  Monthly meetings are held typically on the third Tuesday after school with in-person or virtual options. If you are interested in contributing to the success of our school and students, we would love to have you join us!

Please consider serving on our School Site Council.
If you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else, please complete and submit the nomination form by Friday, August 29, 2025. Once nominations are collected, a ballot will be created and shared with all Valley View parents for voting.

If you have any other questions, please call us at 661-943-2451.

Thank you,

Renee Hofmann, Principal
